duo plays a variety of music by Django Reinhardt (gypsy-jazz), Brazilian
Sambas and Bossa Novas, New-Flamenco and evergreen melodies from the
30's to more modern composers. The duo exhibits exceptional musicianship and surpassed professionalism all combined to create a most authentic performance. The music is very joyful, listenable and even danceable. Inspired by the late Reinhardt, Nikolai plays his compositions and other music of his era, but also includes in his repertoire contemporary music of genres Reinhardt might play if he were here today. If you choose to schedule a duo, you have the option of an additional guitar player, bass player, flute or percussion, as size and budgets allow. |
